To further support this cause, SMHS has developed “Contact Tracing”, an intelligent solution and critical component of comprehensive strategies to control the contagion.
The solution aims to break the chain of human-to-human transmission by identifying people exposed to confirmed cases, and helping authorities trace the path of infection. Contact Tracing ensures accuracy and effectiveness while identifying possible close contacts when a COVID positive case is identified.
Leveraging digital infrastructure and technologies like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and IoT, the solution generates visual & vibration alert and creates a log of all individuals who come in close proximity (1 to 2 meters) within the premises.
The solution facilitates safe distancing and contact tracing through wearable-to-wearable communication. Embedded with BLE beacons, wearables log events when in close proximity. Each wearable can store up to 9,000 contact tracing details.The captured data is transmitted to the cloud using IoT gateways installed at specific positions.
